This report reviews the academic and grey literature on “cyber insurance” and “cyberactuary” across multiple disciplines. This study benefits both practitioners and academics by contributing to the current body of literature by being the most extensive review to date that incorporates both academic and grey literature (resources produced outside of traditional publishing and distributing channels, such as reports by government agencies, non-governmental organizations, and companies). The study provides both academics and practitioners with a comprehensive, interdisciplinary synopsis of the methods, datasets, challenges, and future directions that will aid actuaries and risk managers.
